Those are both pretty impressive numbers, but we’re not quite done yet. The 410 also offers 310 pound-feet of torque at 3,500 RPM and has an aerodynamic downforce of 141 pounds at 150 mph.

You might think that a vehicle with this much power, and which looks as exotically sporty as this, wouldn’t offer very good fuel efficiency. Well, you’d be wrong. The 3.5L V6 engine that generates all of those impressive numbers above happens to offer combined fuel efficiency rating of 29.1 miles per gallon. So not only do you get to play with all that power, but you’re not spending an inordinate amount of money to fill it up either.

Specs & Features of the 2017 Aventador Coupe S

For starters, we thought we’d talk about the design changes. The Aventador’s nose was redesigned for the S model, offering a bigger splitter on the front and an additional pair of air ducts within the front bumper. On the back end, a black rear diffuser was introduced featuring fins and three separate single-exit exhaust tips. These enhancements alone lead to an increase in frontal downforce of 130%.

Now to the meat and potatoes of the model. Powered by a 6.5L V12 engine, the Aventador S generates roughly 730 horsepower alongside 507 pound-feet of torque. This leads to a maximum speed of 217 miles per hour, a 0 to 62 mile per hour time of 2.9 seconds, a 0-124 mph time of 8.8 seconds and an incredible 0-186 mph time of 24.2 seconds. Plus, it has the ability to break from 62 mph in just 31 meters. Those are some incredible figures.

It’s unclear how many Aventador S Coupe models will be built, or if we’ll get one delivered to the showroom. We’ll start right out of the gate with a peek beneath the hood of the Huracan Avio, where a long-stroke, naturally-aspirated, multi-point/IDS-stratified injection, 5.2L V10 engine rests. The specially-crafted V10 engine is capable of generating 602 horsepower alongside 413 pound-feet of torque. That much power makes the special edition Lamborghini Huracan capable of hitting 62 miles per hour in just 3.2 seconds, 124 mph in just 9.9 seconds, and a max speed of somewhere over 201 mph. Finally, it's capable of coming to a complete stop from 62 mph in just 104.7 feet.

We’ve been talking a lot lately about the Karma Revero, as it’s one of the new vehicles we offer here at Prestige Imports, but also one of the lesser known vehicles available in North Miami Beach FL. We wanted to show you how it measures up to some of its biggest competitors, so we decided to compare it against one of the models its creators targeted when building it.

With that in mind, we’ve created a side-by-side comparison of the 2018 Karma Revero vs 2018 Aston Martin Rapide S. While the Aston Martin luxury vehicle isn’t a plug-in hybrid, it is one of the vehicles that Karma executives targeted when building the Revero.

Advantages of the 2018 Revero

As you can see from the table above, each vehicle obviously has its advantages. The Revero is naturally more efficient than the Aston Martin Rapide S, saving you some money at the gas station thanks to its extra 2 miles per gallon. Plus, as we mentioned, the Rapide S isn’t a plug-in vehicle, so it doesn’t have an electric driving range to compare to the Revero’s 50 miles.

However, the Revero’s impressive 403 horsepower is no match for the Aston Martin’s 552 HP. The Revero is a quick vehicle, especially for a plug-in hybrid, but it can’t stand up to the V12 engine of the Rapide S. Further in favor of the Aston Martin Rapide S is its trunk space, which doubles the Revero’s 6.9 cubic feet and then some.

There are plenty of methods in the industry now that manufacturers are toying with as alternative fuel sources, but the leader is still without doubt electricity. Advantages of the 2018 Revero

Even still, as you can see with one glance at the table above, the Clarity can hardly compete with the Karma Revero. Just looking at power alone, it gives up nearly triple what the Revero offers, delivering 300 horsepower less than its exotic counterpart. While the Clarity does come close in terms of all-electric range, it’s still 3 miles off, and of the non-exotic vehicles we’ve compared the Revero to… it has the smallest advantage in total range at only 40 miles.

The Revero does continue its trend of delivering superior acceleration, which considering the power difference shouldn’t be much of a surprise, by hitting 60 miles per hour 2.3 seconds faster than the Honda Clarity Plug-In Hybrid. If you’ve been browsing our website, you might’ve read a comparison pitting the Revero against the Aston Martin Rapide S, not exactly a comparison one might expect. Advantages of the 2018 Revero

It’s no surprise that the Karma Revero has a boost in fuel efficiency, considering its hybrid nature. Advantages of the 2018 Revero

As you can see, Tesla has its iron grip on the industry for pretty good reasons. The Karma Revero’s 403 horsepower is impressive for a hybrid powertrain, yet even still it becomes dwarfed by the Model S’s extra 115 HP. That advantage then helps lead to the advantage that appears further down the table in the fourth row, in that the Tesla vehicle can hit 60 mph just a bit faster than the Revero.

However, the waters get a bit murky in the two middle rows, which look at range. Tesla models are known for being all-electric yet delivering range on par with many plug-in hybrid models. The Karma Revero is a vehicle unlike many others on the market. Picking up where its predecessor, the Fisker Karma, left off, the Revero is an absolutely incredible plug-in hybrid vehicle. As an exotic model, it doesn’t have very many competitors as of yet, though we expect that to ramp up in the years to come. Advantages of the 2018 Revero

As you can see from one glance at the table above, we were certainly right. While the Prius Prime might have a long and storied legacy, it cannot quite keep up with the Karma Revero in many fronts. Let’s tackle what the table says row by row.

First and foremost, the Prius Prime is severely underpowered. Offering just 121 horsepower, it’s outmatched by more than double – 282 horsepower to be exact. While it isn’t yet available, there is one vehicle that promises to be a huge competitor for our favorite exotic plug-in hybrid sports car, and that’s the 2019 BMW i8. A fairly exotic plug-in hybrid sports car in its own right, the BMW i8 is one of the first direct competitors to the Karma Revero, and quite frankly we’re excited to see it. While the Revero will always be our choice, it’s great to see more competition springing up in the segment. Advantages of the 2018 Revero

To create this comparison we’ve compiled a bunch of the most important specifications into the table above. While it’s obviously not a complete look at how the two cars compare to one another, it’s a great jumping off point.

With one glance at the table you can see how comparable these two vehicles are. They are clearly meant to be competitors. However, the Revero starts things off with a few obvious advantages. For starters, it delivers a pretty large boost in power, offering an extra 34 horsepower more than the BMW i8. Then things get even more impressive in the second row where the Revero more than doubles the all-electric range of the upcoming BMW vehicle, offering an extra 32 miles.

Things get a bit murky in the third row, as it hasn’t yet been announced what the total hybrid range of the BMW i8 will be. But considering the pretty steep difference in all-electric range, we can’t imagine it being more than the Revero, unless it was designed with a massive gas tank (which is doubtful). Unfortunately, in the final row, the i8 shows that it doesn’t need that extra power to hit 60 mph 1.2 seconds faster than the Revero.

Of the non-exotic models we’ve compared the Revero to thus far, this is certainly one of the closest tests yet.

As you can see in the first row, the Revero is still clearly superior in terms of power. Delivering 254 horsepower more than its Chevy competitor, it’s certainly going to win any races entered between the two. However, the Volt is the only non-exotic model we’ve compared the Revero to that delivers higher all-electric range at 53 miles. The tradeoff is that it’s total range suffers compared to other non-luxury models, though it is still superior to the Revero by an extra 120 miles.

A couple of years ago, Fiat Chrysler Automotive introduced a vehicle that changed the landscape for more affordable sports cars when it introduced the world to its Hellcat nameplate. Advantages of the 2018 Aventador

In the first row we look at horsepower, which is pretty incredible for the Challenger Hellcat. It almost catches up to the Aventador, only giving up 23 horsepower which actually isn’t very much. As the second row shows, it even trumps the Aventador where torque is concerned, generating an extra 143 pound-feet. However, that extra torque doesn’t translate to the track for the heavy Hellcat.

As the third and fourth rows show, the Hellcat is certainly a quick and enjoyable vehicle to drive at its price point, but it can’t quite compete with the Aventador. Advantages of the Aventador

While the Huracan didn’t quite measure up to the Ferrari 488, the table above makes it pretty clear that the Aventador measures up and a whole lot more. In terms of curb weight, which the second row looks at, the Aventador is 220 pounds heavier, which offsets its power advantage a bit.

But clear not by much, as the second half of the table shows the Aventador trumping the Ferrari 488 on the track. Similarities & Differences of the Lamborghini Models

Perhaps you aren’t surprised by the information in the table above. After glancing at it, it becomes clear that the Aventador is obviously superior, at least in terms of performance. But there is more to these vehicles than just performance, of course. The smaller, V10-engined Lamborghini Huracan obviously can’t generate quite as much power as the Aventador’s big V12. Advantages of the 2018 Aventador

As you can see by taking a quick glance at the table above, there’s a reason the Chiron is one of the fastest vehicles ever produced. It’s quad-turbocharge V16 engine generates an absolutely astounding 1,500 horsepower, which is unheard of and admittedly more than doubles the Aventador’s power. In the first row, we took a look at the pinnacle of performance specifications: horsepower. Surprisingly, the Ferrari 812 Superfast delivers a truckload of extra power, specifically in the form of 148 HP total. Automotive enthusiasts all over the country went nuts when Ford announced it was going to be bringing back its iconic and legendary GT supercar. Unfortunately, it has been a slow burn since then. Let’s dive right into the specifications and features that make the 2018 Huayra Roadster what it is. Firstly, the machine’s chassis consists of a carbo-titanium/carbo-triax HP52 monocoque front & rear frame in steel tubes. But let’s move quickly onto what you truly want to learn about, the Roadster’s engine. Powered by a 6.0 Mercedes-Benz AMG V12 engine, the Huayra Roadster is capable of doling out a monstrous 764 horsepower alongside 738 pound-feet of torque.

Advantages of the 2018 Aventador SVJ

The things that we’re interested in in a comparison like this are power ratings and performance results. The Aventador SVJ’s V12 engine generates 759 horsepower alongside 531 pound-feet of torque., making it one of the most powerful Lamborghini models ever built. While the 911 GT2 RS generates an extra 2 lb-ft. of torque, it gives up a whopping 59 horsepower, which is pretty sizeable.

However, the extra power only permits the Aventador SVJ to hit a top speed of 7 miles per hour faster than the Porsche. 2020 Karma GT by Pininfarina North Miami Beach FL

We’re incredibly excited to talk about the newest vehicle available from the Karma brand. It’s unclear at this point if the vehicle is a limited edition, a one-off, a concept vehicle or a look at a secondary production model the brand will be producing in partnership down the road, but whatever the case, we’re stoked about the 2020 Karma GT by Pininfarina in North Miami Beach FL. Introduced at the 2019 Auto Shanghai event, the vehicle was built from one of the new Karma Revero GT models, but stripped down and designed by Italian company Pininfarina.

What is the Karma GT by Pininfarina?

Although the vehicle was built from a Revero GT, it has an entirely different design than the updated Karma model. Bespoke and obviously Italian, the two-door vehicle only shares its mechanical attributes with the Revero GT. That means, although it wasn’t explicitly stated in the press release, that the Karma GT will likely be powered by the same 1.5L 3-cylinder BMW engine as the Revero GT, generating 535 horsepower.

The Karma GT by Pininfarina represents a true Gran Turismo thanks in part to its two-door architecture and the sheer number of luxurious accoutrements throughout. Although the vehicle was built upon the same platform as the Revero GT, it required some changes to both the suspension and the frame in order for the new Pininfarina-designed body to fit. A few years back, Fisker Automotive closed its doors and from the company’s ashes rose Karma Automotive, named after the Fisker Karma. Altogether, this system is capable of generating up to 536 horsepower alongside 550 pound-feet of torque. That’s quite a bit of power, and while performance times haven’t yet been announced, we imagine it’ll be pretty quick.

The new GS-6 will feature what Karma refers to as a Human Machine Interface, a series of high-resolution connected display screens that puts connectivity and driver information front and center in a series of customizable information hubs. Info that can be displayed includes things like how steering feels, how aggressive acceleration is, the behavior of various advanced driver-assistive safety features, the display of cameras, and so on.
